Lovely stay! Tom is friendly and shared all the info we needed to feel welcome and comfortable. The Katahdin room is sunny, bright and spacious. The private bathroom was a plus as this isn't found in every B&B. The microwave and fridge in a room on our floor was great to have. DVD player in the room, and movies to borrow. Tom CAN cook breakfast! It was very yummy, and the conversation with the other couple made our meal all the more enjoyable. We drove up the road a bit and stopped in the North Woods Trading Post. Within walking distance is the Appalachian Trail Cafe where we grabbed a cup of coffee to go. Sit down is more their style, but they accomodated our take-out request! Look at all their AT memorabilia! Anyway, I would stay at Young's again!
Totally wanted to check this place out. Had a room reserved and everything. Once I told Tom I have two young children he said he will not be able to accommodate us. Never heard of a place that does not accept children. Poor decision on the business owner part. Oh well we will take our business else where.
This bread and breakfast was one of the best we have EVER stayed in. Wonderful decor, wonderful service. Tom was such a great host and a great cook for wonderful breakfasts with a great selection. Plenty of privacy. Great location for activities at Baxter State Park or the Woods and Waters National Monument. Close to Millinocket lake and New England Outdoor Center. Very close to some of the best whitewater in the world on the Penobscot River and activities on Millinocket lake. We truly did not expect such a great place!!.
Great bfasts, greater still the innkeepers Darci and Tom. Full-flavoured coffee early and strong. Never before had a menu for bfast at a BnB till now, but what a great idea that actually saves food bc no mass-produced food goes to waste. Lovely covered sitting porch to watch the log trucks, RVs and canoe/white water rafting trailers pass by early AM. Wonderfully quiet at night, comfortable room with auxiliary kitchen and fridge. We stayed 3 nights, could stay for a month with no boredom.
Very quiet, warm setting. Katadin room is spacious and bright. Breakfast was delicious and has a nice visit with fellow Lodgers.
