It did the job. A place to stay near Baxter State Park. If that's your only requirement, this place will work. Nice people!
I stay here very year when hiking Katahdin. For the most part the rooms are clean and quiet. This visit was a bit disappointing because the shower head was inadequate. The room we were in a bit dated as well. The staff at the desk are very friendly and helpful with suggestions for local eateries.
The breakfast was delicious. U never found the chocolate muffin anywhere else what I had on Baxter Park Inn. & Dont miss the yoghurt. The unique taste.

Kids had a lot of fun swimming, there's games and puzzles in the breakfast area for guests to play, and free wifi as well. Very clean rooms and housekeeping was amazing. Just as an example she noticed my small daughter had been drawing on the note pad and left an additional pad and pen for her to continue her artistic creations. Nothing we asked for, it's just the little things.
We were told that the Pamola Motor Lodge was the cheapest place in town for thru hikers to stay because the Appalachian Trail Lodge closed for the season, but the Baxter Park Inn was almost the same price and much cheaper. Note: The breakfast didn't have any eggs or waffles, as I've grown to expect from hotels along the trail.

Normally a chain hotel junkie, we were a little hesitant to stay here. Having a bad experience at a hotel down the street that caused us to cancel our stay at check in, we found this hotel on google and decided to try it out. From the time we checked in, we found out this hotel is very family oriented and cares about their guests. Very home town service where you don't feel like a number. Superb job on that guys!
