Fantastic time! Thought it would be much more terrifying but the guides were professional, calm, and composed that no one was fearful - even if they fell out! It was all very fun and safety was paramount! They even had a delicious riverbank cookout for lunch appropriate to everyone's dietary restrictions if any!
A group of us has stated here twice thus far and love it. Friendly, helpful staff... Clean grounds... Great amenities! We're scheduled back two more times in the next year.
Stayed at the Fox Den, very clean updated cabin. The use of canoes and kayaks were nice! Stay was friendly, and the view of Katahdin is breathtaking! If you don't want to cook in the cabin, the food/bar at the River Drivers was convenient and delicious.
Beautiful area there! Pet friendly. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Can swim in the lake or paddle board, canoe, or kayak with our dog which was awesome. The moose tour was awesome. Although we didn't see any moose on the pontoon and the weather turned bad, the tour guide went above and beyond driving us around in the van for close to two hours. We still saw beautiful scenery, bald eagle, one loon, and an angry beaver. I highly recommend this place, and we will be back for a visit in the future. One thing is bring a fan in the summer as there is no air conditioning in the cabins. Most nights you don't need it because the nights get cool. Thank you!
Cannot recommend this enough except to say if I did it again, I would schedule it to do the class 5 rapids TWICE in a row! Lodge, accommodations, restaurants — everything was just spot on!
Friendly staff and well maintained facility. Great place to get away but have all the amenities of home. Wi-Fi , restaurant on premise with great food and cozy atmosphere. Great for ice fishing, hunting, snowmobiling or just getting away. Camps big and small so will accommodate any size group. Highly recommended and well worth the stay!!!
